We often take for granted saying ‘grandfather/mother stories’ when trying to imply listening / telling / reading detailed or long winded stories.

So... What happened was I was sitting with PMBrian earlier filling up a form.

ennazus: I don’t think we have enough space to put your grandfather story in there.
PMBrian: *started laughing* Is that a Malaysian saying?
ennazus: Oh. You don’t say it over here?

ennazus: Apparently there is a Nike factory in Malaga! Ooooh... New trainers I see...
TOH: Do they do guided tours?
ennzaus: Guided tours?? Where to?
TOH: I was thinking of the Nike factory, you never know bit of good publicity. Then afterwards, come see see our in - factory discount store, hehe...

bowl habit

I just realised a bad habit I have.

Have you ever seen a Chinese person eating rice out of a bowl with a pair of chopsticks?

I noticed that whenever I’m eating from a bowl or a container, I will have the habit of picking it up and holding the food ware closer to my mouth. Logically, it kinda makes sense so that food doesn’t fall everywhere.

Say for a bowl of salad, should the bowl not stay on the table instead?

Doesn’t help when I often have TV dinners, or rather, dinner in front of the telly.

I blame it on being Chinese!
